There are a variety of ways you can support the causes you care most about, and we are here to help you make the most impact.

You can choose to contribute to an existing fund, or we can help you establish a new fund to help you meet your philanthropic goals.

You can also choose to create a lasting impact and legacy with a planned gift.

We make giving easy through our giving options below.

A one-time gift to Sweet Grass Community Foundation is a powerful way to support our mission and create immediate, meaningful change. Whether you're honoring a loved one, celebrating a milestone, or simply giving from the heart, your generosity helps make an impact right here at home. To make a one-time gift, click here.

These are easy, convenient ways to give. Sustainers consist of monthly donations; Investors consist of a multi-year pledge. These types of gifts can be transferred automatically from your credit card or checking account and can be changed or canceled at any time. To set up a monthly or multi-year gift, click here.

A gift of cash is a simple and easy way for you to make a gift. You will receive a charitable tax deduction and you will make an immediate impact on our mission. To donate now, click here.

A gift of appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds is an easy way for you to make a gift to SGCF and it will provide you a charitable deduction and possibly save you from paying a capital gains tax.

A gift of your retirement assets is an excellent estate planning gift option.

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from an IRA is a great option for individuals 73 and older to make a tax-free donation directly from their IRA to a qualified charity, potentially satisfying all or part of their required minimum distribution. QCDs allow donors to donate up to a certain amount (currently $108,000 in 2025) from their IRA to qualified charities, and the distribution is not taxed as income.  If you and your spouse are both eligible, you can each make QCDs up to the limit, according to the IRS. Please discuss your giving options with your tax advisor.

You can gift property now or leave it as a bequest to the Sweet Grass Community Foundation. This is an ideal way to deduct the fair market value and eliminate capital gains taxes.

Leaving your legacy is as easy as remembering SGCF in your will or living trust.

Many people find that the protection offered by their policies is no longer needed. A life insurance policy can be an ideal tool for charitable giving. Simply donate the policy to SGCF outright or name a current fund at SGCF as a beneficiary.
