Sweet Grass Community Foundation provides micro-grants to address unexpected, urgent, one-time expenses that arise and affect a local organization's ability to fulfill their mission/goals. To be eligible for funding, an organization must be a 501(c)3, government entitiy, or other IRS recognized charitable entity providing services to residents of Sweet Grass County.
Micro-grants provide funding for requests up to $1,000. For projects with needs in excess of this amount, please review SGCF's Community Giving program guidelines on our website.
Projects appropriate, and that are preferred, for our micro-grants are unique, unexpected, unanticipated, one-time projects that demonstrate potential to make a meaningful impact in our community. Projects that require quick granting action in order to address a community problem or situation are also preferred.
Requests for recurring expenses, travel expenses, general operating expenses, routine maintenance, or for projects that have been previously funded by SGCF are discouraged. Grant applications that have been previously submitted to the Community Giving program are not eligible for funding. Mico-grants will not fund projects retroactively.
To apply, email a completed application and required documents to firstname.lastname@example.org. Micro-grant applications will be reviewed monthly. Please call Corry at 932-3090 with any questions regarding the application.
