Board Governance Coffee Connections

Liz Moore from Montana Non Profit Association was in Big Timber to present information on Board Governance.  Discussion included information on recruitment and orientation, the importance of committees, board legal responsibilities, and how to improve board structure.  It was a full house and we really appreciate Liz making the drive from Helena to join us that day!

SGCF License Plate Goes To Work

The Foundation was excited to grant funds from license plate proceeds in April!  $5,000 was granted for new percussion instruments at the high school, $2,277 was added to a $1,500 Community Giving grant to Sweet Grass Technical Institute to purchase a MIG welder and equipment, and $1,000 was added to another Community Giving grant of $1,500 to the Hospitality House Senior Center to assist with their food purchases for lunches and Meals on Wheels program.  Thank you to everyone who has purchased our license plate!
